Welcomed Before I Ever Walked Through the Door

·

As a new business owner still in the launching stages, walking into a Chamber can feel intimidating. There’s a certain pressure you can put on yourself to have everything figured out, to have the business polished, and to be ready to tell everyone exactly where you’re going.

My experience with the San Diego Christian Chamber of Commerce was completely different.

Before I ever attended my first event, Chamber members reached out to personally welcome me. They took the time to learn about me, my family, my business, and the vision God has placed on my heart.

But what impacted me most was that they didn’t just listen. They encouraged me and prayed with me. They made me feel like it was okay to still be building, praying, and figuring out what God was calling me to create. There was no pressure to show up with all the answers.

Because of that, when I finally walked into my first Chamber breakfast and Business Accelerator cohort, it honestly felt like I was attending my tenth event. I wasn’t walking into a room full of strangers. I was being welcomed by people who already knew me, had encouraged me, and had prayed for me.

I was welcomed like family.

Whether you’re leading an established business or you’re just beginning the journey, I’ve experienced firsthand that this is a community that genuinely cares about the person behind the business.

I’m incredibly grateful to be part of it, and I’m excited to see what God continues to do through this community.
