Agape Helpers is non-profit organization uniting a community of volunteers and businesses to help orphaned seniors live in safety, stability and love.
In 2024, Agape Helpers added a service to the senior population of San Diego, when the plight of some ‘orphaned’ seniors came to the organization’s attention. An ‘orphaned’ senior is one who still lives in their home but finds themselves without family members to care for them or for their property. Many are on a fixed income and find themselves physically unable to take care of their yards, repair their home, communicate adequately with their doctors at regular visits, or to prepare healthy meals.
With the help of Agape Helpers’ staff, volunteers and small business network, seniors in San Diego County can now get the help and care that they need, in areas such as:
– Companionship
– Accompany to appointments
– Food/shopping
– Advocacy (as needed).
– Home Repairs.
– Lawn maintenance.
– Removal of debris
– De-cluttering of home
