I want to let you know about something that God has been bringing to us as Agape Helpers.
Over the past month we have had three seniors come to us dealing with the threat of homelessness. We have others in our program at different levels who are in Section 8 housing and fear that they could potentially lose their homes. Many of these seniors have nothing more than a social security pension of around $1200 a month to live on and rents are skyrocketing in the county.
The homeless are a huge ministry opportunity in San Diego, and it is affecting seniors.
God has brought us a tenant’s rights attorney who has been giving his Labor, helping a few of our seniors pro bono and is offering to help more at a discounted rate. He is a man of faith with Expertise in these situations, and I am very thankful that he has been willing to accept our senior referrals.
Fundraising Campaign
He is willing to partner with us, and I have created a new fundraising campaign to allow Champions for Seniors and Champions for Homelessness to join their Team to fight against homelessness.
