Making Dreams Reality
Making Dreams Reality– My Visit to the U.S. Supreme Court by Ja'shauna Adams
Since I was five years old, I knew I wanted to be an advocate for justice. I was always the one seeking to make things fair, understand both sides, and speak up for those who felt defenseless. That drive carried me throughout the years and ultimately led me to law school and the privilege of practicing law.
I recently had the opportunity to visit Washington, D.C., and tour the United States Supreme Court, something I’ve been eager to do for years.. Being there in person, walking through the halls, seeing the courtroom and reading through the history was deeply inspiring. I found myself thinking about the countless lives that have been changed by the decisions made there and the arguments presented over decades. I imagined what it would be like to argue a case there, the intensity, the responsibility, and the impact. So much of our country’s history has shifted because of what has taken place within those walls.
Knowing the law and how to apply it is a powerful tool. I’m honored to use it in service of my clients, to protect, advocate, and seek justice for those who often feel unseen or unheard.
What about you?
What are you grateful for when it comes to your profession, calling, gifts, or skills?
How have you been able to use what you’ve been given to make a difference for others?
If someone you know in California is facing a divorce, custody challenge, needs a Domestic Violence or Civil Harassment Restraining Order, is exploring adoption, or has questions about their legal rights, I’m here to assist.
All the best,
Ja'shauna Adams, Esq.
